Arriving by air: Upon arrival at Naples airport, you will reach the harbour: MOLO BEVERELLO where the HYDROFOIL (aliscafo) service to Ischia is available, or to PORTA DI MASSA for ferries. There is the public ALIBUS to the harbour Molo Beverello, about 30 min. (ticket to be purchased on the bus) which has just one stop at the main railway station.

To reach the ferry port PORTA DI MASSA: we advice to go by taxi. The taxi costs about 30 €.

Arriving by train: Arrived at Naples, taxis are outside of the station. Ask to go to MOLO BEVERELLO or PORTA DI MASSA (the trip costs about € 15.00). Before getting in ask the taxi driver how much is the route. 

Arriving by car to embark in Naples or Pozzuoli:

POZZUOLI: after the A1 (autostrada) take the TANGENZIALE destination. Follow the road signs (many exits to the City). Your EXIT is NO. 12: VIA CAMPANA. Turn right through Pozzuoli, (downward) until you are on the seafront.       

To buy the ticket, you will show your vehicle registration certificate. The cost of a car is appr. € 70.00 - 150.00 one way, including the driver. Other passengers have to pay extra.

NAPLES/ PORTO DI MASSA: exit from the A1: AREA PORTUALE: The traghetto (ferryboat) leaves from PORTA DI MASSA, entrance along the harbour-road. Last ferry at 21:55 (to be checked).

Ischia – Villa Ravino: Disembarked on the Island, take the right side on the main road. Passing through Casamicciola, Lacco Ameno. When you have the historical centre of Forio opposite to you, with the little harbor on your right side, turn left, following the road as far as you will reach the Petrol station PISCOPO, ca. 1 km. We are a few metres further on, on the left side, Attention: little short steep way up to us. Parking 10 m before the house, on the right. Or, by a very big car, in front of the GIARDINI RAVINO entrance.

We also organize the transfer from the airport or train station to Villa Ravino: 

Pick-up from the airport or train station in Naples with a sign showing your name, trip by taxi up to the harbour of Naples or Pozzuoli; upon arrival on Ischia you are picked-up by another taxi driver who accompanies you to Villa Ravino. Rate: € 48.00 per person per day, one way, by ferry. +15,00 p.p. by hydrofoil. To organize it we need by 3 days prior to arrival: flight or train number, arrival time in Naples, air company.

CROSSING the Bay – Villa Ravino

Please bear in mind that the last ferry boats for Ischia leave Naples at 21:55 h (check timetables) from Porta di Massa. We advice to go there by taxi. For a late arrival kindly inform us. Whether you disembark at either Ischia Porto, Casamicciola or Forio, you will need to catch a taxi to your destination: Residence Villa Ravino, Via II Mura 3, Forio, or, in case of light luggage, the public bus  No. 1, 2, CS, your stop is: Distributore PISCOPO (petrol station PISCOPO). We are 50 m further on, on the left side. Little short steep way up to us. 

The next stop is also suitable, in front of the botanical garden “GIARDINI RAVINO”, you enter through the garden (closed on Tuesday and Thursday and from 19:00 on).

The island bus service is quite good, with frequent buses to all the main points of interest. Single tickets € 1.70, daily ticket € 5.10, weekly ticket € 14.50, all available at Villa Ravino's reception.

Car, scooter and boat hiring is available at our reception. We recommend to request this service in advance.
