Meristema is an exhibition dedicated to both professional and quality amateur gardeners, enriched with seminars and hands on experiences. ... what does meristem means?

WHERE
The event will be held on the island of Ischia, at the recently established “ Giardini Ravino “, a botanical garden aimed at delivering the concept of the diversity of species. The garden is embedded in one of the most beautiful environments on the sunny side if the splendid island .

In the enchanting environment offered by the “ Giardini Ravino”, professionals, amateurs and collectors of rare cacti, from every corner of Europe, will meet for three days in order to display to the public their wonderful botanic treasures and rarities.

A unique opportunity for those passionate about greenery, who will have the opportunity to enjoy discussions, comparisons and practical demonstrations of pruning and grafting under expert guidance.

This is the theme chosen for the second edition of Meristem, to commemorate the bicentenary of the birth of Charles Darwin and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his chief work, The Origin of Species, a book that marked a turning point in the history of thought Western.

WHY “ BIODIVERSITY “
The modern vision of the relationship between man and his environment is to recognise “ biodiversity “ as a key element of the functioning of the earths ecosystem.
